Once your booking is confirmed, we will provide you with a consultation form to assess your suitability for Microneedling treatment. Your safety and well-being are our top priority, and we will not proceed with any treatment if we believe it may not be in your best interest or could be unsafe for you.

Please note: While Microneedling is great for acne scarring, it is not an effective treatment for active acne, please have a look at skin boosters instead.

Consultation

During your appointment, we will conduct a comprehensive consultation to explain the treatment in detail and determine the most suitable approach to achieve your desired results. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions, and we will not proceed with the treatment until you are completely at ease and have given your full consent.

The Treatment

The microneedling procedure is a key component of a 30 minute facial. The treatment begins with a double cleansing of the skin using a medical-grade cleanser to ensure optimal preparation for the procedure. The microneedling feels like small, gentle vibrations on the skin, which are typically not painful. Overall, the experience is both effective and relaxing, with no significant downtime. While some mild redness may occur post-treatment, it typically subsides quickly.

Aftercare Instructions

The following aftercare advice is essential to help reduce the risk of treatment complications, to improve your comfort/healing and to help achieve the best possible results from treatment.

Immediately following treatment:

• Do not apply any makeup or other skincare products to your treated skin for at least 24 hours after your treatment.

• Do not pick at, scratch, or rub the treated area for at least 48 hours after your treatment.

• Avoid strenuous exercise, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms for at least 48 hours after your treatment.

• Cleanse your treated skin gently with a mild, non-abrasive cleanser and lukewarm water.

• Apply a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturiser to your treated skin to prevent dryness and irritation.

General Aftercare Instructions:

• If you experience any redness, swelling, or discomfort, you may apply a cold compress to the affected area for 10-15 minutes at a time, as needed.

• It is normal to experience some mild redness, swelling, and discomfort after your treatment. This should subside within a few days.
